We have created a tour to take you on a unique journey in Mount Athos, a well known landmark of Orthodoxy. You can enjoy a daily spiritual tour to Holy Mount Athos, during which you will have the chance to learn about the centuries-old history of a unique monastic republic that has existed for over a thousand years, to discover its ancient shrines and rich cultural and historical heritage. By being a part of this different tour you will be able to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the monks’ daily life, seeing how they worship and sharing meals brethren.

One day spiritual tour to Holy Mount Athos, during which you will  have the chance to learn about the centuries-old history of a unique monastic republic that has existed for over a thousand years, to discover its ancient shrines and rich cultural and historical heritage.
It will also be a chance to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the monks’ daily life, seeing how they worship and sharing meals with the brethren.

8:30 Meeting point: Ouranoupoli. You will first stop at the pilgrim’s
office to get the entry permit for Mt. Athos.
From Ouranoupoli you will set sail for Karyes, the famous capital of the Monastic State of Mt. Athos, where the administrative head is based.
During the tour you will visit the following monasteries*:

–  Koutloumousiou Monastery
– Monastery of Iveron
– Monastery of Stavronikita
– Skete of Prophet Elijah
– Monastery of Xenophon

17:00 Return to Ouranoupoli.

*When possible, the schedule may change to better suit your preferences.

– If number of particapants is less than 5 or more than 7, please ask for a new quotation.

– Tours to Mt.AThos should be booked up to 3 days before the start of the trip, which are required for entry permit arrangments
– The scedule is subject to changes due to due to unforeseen circumstances such as the prohibition of sailing
– Due to warsh weather conditions in winter the recommended period to visit Mount: 30/11-30/03
– Only adult men and young males from 6 years old accompanied by their father are permitted to enter Mount Athos. This rule, known as the “Avaton”, forbids access to Mount Athos to any female.
