We will visit magnificent underground cellars, taste the produce of the finest names in the world of wine, following a wine path that will be unforgettable! We will taste fine continental dishes that reflect the traditions of local cuisine and the inexhaustible passion of the creators. We know the customs and traditions of Epirus and we are touring places with a long history. Come and join us!

Itineraries

Day 1

Departure from Thessaloniki

Visit to the Archaeological Site of Vergina-Veroia

We begin with an interesting and informative tour of one of the most important archaeological places in Greece, Vergina.

Wine tasting in Velventos, Kozani

The next stop on our route is the Velventos area, where the vineyards have deep roots and a long tradition. We will visit a very remarkable estate of the area and taste its exquisite wines.

Lunch in Zagorochoria.

We will taste continental cuisine and special local wines.

Day 2

Wander through two lovely villages

We will start our day with a memorable trip to two very beautiful villages of Zagorohoria: Mikro (Little) and Megalo (Great) Papigo. We walk through beautiful Papigo while admiring the famous traditional houses with stone roofs, cobbled streets and elaborate fountains.
In Megalo Papigo, we will stop at a traditional coffee shop and try some delicious local produce.

Walking & Lunch in Aristi

This will be a brief tour of an equally excellent area of Zagorohoria, Aristi. In a place where the local décor and the friendly atmosphere prevail, we will taste expertly cooked homemade dishes.

Day 3

Departure from the hotel

Explore along the blue-green Voidomatis river

After our breakfast in the hotel we will take a morning hike next to the Voidomatis river. We will enjoy the beautiful colors of this crystal-clear river as well as the exceptional natural scenery that surrounds us.
We will encounter some of the most classic villages of Zagori and will admire a unique geological phenomenon: the gorge of Vikos.

Walking to the Bee House

We will visit the Bee House, a family beekeeping unit. We will have the chance to see an expert presentation about bees and see inside a real beehive. Also, we will visit the workshop and will be informed about the ways in which the various beekeeping products are made. Finally there will be an opportunity to try all this local produce.

Day 4

Departure from the hotel

Visit to winery “Katogi Averoff”– Metsovo

We begin with a fascinating tour of the area where the Bordeaux flagship variety, known as the Cabernet Sauvignon, was planted for the first time. We will learn about the vision of its creator, Evangelos Averoff, as well as about mountain vineyards of the winery and the important specifics of location and cultivation for famous wine varieties. Of course we will also have the opportunity to enjoy these tasty wines!

Visit to the Folklore Museum of Metsovo

We will have the opportunity to find out about the places where Evangelos Averoff Tositsas lived. We will also get to see a large collection of his personal items and rich photographic material from his long political journey.

Art Gallery of Evangelos Averoff

Here we will have the opportunity to admire some of the most representative works of prominent Greek painters, engravers and sculptors of the 19th and 20th century.

Free time

Walking to Wooden Art (Xiladiko tou Pappou)

We will learn about the craft of wood carving, and will also have the chance to see some beautifully made wooden handicrafts.
